Our story
Skills for Success: Youth Training & Support was founded by Demani , a mother of three with two associate degrees, to create accessible skill-building and support opportunities for youth and underserved communities in the Bay Area. The project is driven by a passion for empowerment, early workforce development, and creating safe spaces where young people and at-risk individuals can learn practical skills and build confidence.
Our history
The project was developed in response to the lack of affordable vocational training and community support services in low-income neighborhoods. Skills for Success was designed as a community-based business model that combines youth training, outreach to homeless and at-risk populations, and sustainable revenue through product sales, food sales, and state-supported programs to ensure long-term impact and growth.
From modest beginnings, we've grown through unwavering dedication and a commitment to continuous improvement. Each step has reinforced our core belief in the power of collaboration and the importance of integrity. We're passionate about what we do, and we're excited to share our story with you.
